DeMarcus Cousins Brawls With Fans in Puerto Rico

DeMarcus Cousins Brawls With Fans in Puerto Rico

Former NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins was involved in a startling incident on Monday night, June 9, 2025. While playing in Puerto Rico, the four-time NBA All-Star was ejected from a game and subsequently engaged in a public brawl with fans.

The chaotic scenes were captured on camera from various angles, showing Cousins swinging punches before security intervened.

On-Court Altercation and Ejection

The confrontation began during a game in Puerto Rico, escalating rapidly.

Initial Provocation and Response

Cousins, who has been out of the NBA for three years and is currently playing for Mets de Guaynabo against Bayamon in the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league, faced a heated situation. A fan began swearing and making obscene gestures with middle fingers directed at him. Cousins’ immediate response was captured on camera.

The ex-NBA star was seen grabbing his crotch and getting directly into the man’s face. He then laid a hand on the individual before a teammate pulled him away as tensions continued to rise.

Second Fan Involvement and Ejection

Following this initial exchange, a second fan became involved in the altercation. Cousins was then dragged to the other side of the court by a teammate. It was at this point that he was reportedly ejected from the game, leading to further developments outside of direct play.

Post-Ejection Brawl with Spectators

The situation intensified dramatically after Cousins left the court, leading to a physical confrontation.

Drinks Thrown and Rage Unleashed

A new video angle emerged, showing a shocking second incident. Fans appeared to throw various drinks at Cousins, causing his temper to visibly erupt. Initially, the former first-round NBA draft pick was seen putting his middle finger into the faces of multiple fans. However, once the drinks began raining down on him, he seemingly snapped.

He started swinging punches at those around him. Security personnel quickly intervened, attempting to bundle him to the ground in an effort to de-escalate the situation, but their initial attempt was unsuccessful.

Continued Provocation and Removal

Cousins was then seen getting back to his feet, which only spurred more drinks to be thrown at him. This further enraged the 6-foot-10 basketball star. Ultimately, he was pulled down the tunnel and away from the agitated crowd, concluding the chaotic incident.
