Ahaus: City Festival and Kids Flea Market
In Ahaus, the annual City Festival takes place on May 25, 2025. Visitors can look forward to numerous activities and a diverse stage program in the city center. On Sunday, a Children’s Flea Market adds to the festivities. It will be held in the pedestrian zone from 1 PM to 6 PM. During this time, shops in Ahaus will also be open for the special Sunday shopping event.
Essen (Kettwig): Third Annual Wine Festival
The Weinfest in Essen-Kettwig is celebrating its third year. On May 25, 2025, the festival welcomes visitors from 1 PM to 8 PM. Attendees can explore a wide variety of wines. Cologne (Rath-Heumar): Lively Music Festival
Cologne’s Rath-Heumar district hosts a Music Festival on Kurt-Henn-Platz on May 25, 2025. This event features a diverse music program. Numerous bands will provide entertainment throughout the entire weekend. To coincide with the festival, shops in this area will be open from 1 PM to 6 PM for Sunday shopping.
Leverkusen (Opladen): “Opladener Frühling” Spring Festival
In Leverkusen-Opladen, the “Opladener Frühling” (Opladen Spring) festival is taking place. This diverse spring celebration invites visitors to browse and discover. The spring market offers a wide selection of flowers, plants, and handcrafted goods. The event also includes an automobile show on Opladener Platz. A flea market adds to the variety. Shops in Leverkusen-Opladen will also be open from 1 PM to 6 PM as part of the Sunday shopping initiative.
Paderborn (Elsen): Traditional Village Festival
The district of Paderborn-Elsen is holding its traditional Dorffest (Village Festival) on May 25, 2025. Visitors can expect a varied stage program. There will be a diverse culinary offering. Entertainment for all ages is also planned. New additions this year include a farmers’ market and a craftspeople’s mile. These new features will further enrich the festival experience.
