Ultron Joins the Roster: A Strategic Healer

Ultron enters the battlefield. He is the latest playable character. Despite his destructive history, Ultron is a healer. He is a strategist class. This makes him unique. Ultron is also the first flying healer. He can soar alongside Iron Man and Human Torch. His primary attack is a laser. It ends with a burst of damage. Ultron can heal his allies. He can also grant them protective shields.

Discovering Arakko: A Desolate New Map

A new map accompanies Ultron. It is called Arakko. This island was once Krakoa’s sister. Now, it has lost all its vitality. An even more sinister Ultron has overrun it. This version merged with Cerebro. He became “X-tron.” Players will battle in this desolate new environment.

Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol: A New LTM

A new limited-time mode is coming. It is named “Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol.” This mode launches on June 6. It is a single-player experience. Players assemble a roster of AI-controlled heroes. These heroes battle enemies. Players observe from above. They act as one of Ultron’s drones. Unlocking buffs and abilities makes battles wild. The video shows massive Venom. It also features a rapidly firing Hela. Namor can command an army of Monstro turrets.

Balancing the Battlefield: Character Adjustments

Season 2.5 also brings many balance changes. Several heroes will receive buffs. This includes Groot and Captain America. Emma Frost, Iron Fist, and Human Torch also get boosts. Psylocke will also be buffed. Conversely, Doctor Strange, Magneto, Squirrel Girl, and Punisher will also see buffs. Jeff receives a “partial adjustment.” This will provide a fresh experience. Several of his key abilities are being reworked. Full details on these changes are available.

Evolving Team-Up Abilities: New Combos

Team-up abilities are a signature feature. They are also getting updates. Some existing team-ups are being removed. These include Hawkeye and Black Widow. Rocket and Punisher’s combo is gone. Luna Snow and Jeff’s team-up is removed. Spider-Man, Venom, and Peni’s trio is no longer available. Iron Man is no longer part of the Hulk and Namor team-up.

However, six new team-ups will be added. These compensate for the removals. New pairings include Luna Snow and Hawkeye. Jeff and Storm can combine ultimates. This creates a “Jeff-nado.” Jeff and Venom also form a new pair. Punisher and Black Widow now team up. Rocket and Peni have a new combination. Iron Man and Ultron also gain a team-up.
